For our international client operating in the financial and insurance sector, we are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with German. In this role, you will act as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, driving the end-to-end analysis, specification, and continuous optimization of core business processes and IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Engineering & Analysis: Independently elicit, analyze, and document complex business requirements, functional specifications, and incident investigations.
  • Process Modeling & Optimization: Lead the design, mapping, and continuous improvement of end-to-end insurance workflows, data structures, and operational systems.
  • Business Case & Solution Design: Assist business departments in building viable business cases and advise on suitable technical architectures and solution designs.
  • Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Owners, software developers, and QA engineers within an Agile/Scrum delivery model (e.g., advising testers on critical test scenarios).
  • Process Governance: Continuously enhance internal requirements management frameworks, standards, and IT delivery workflows.

Candidate Profile (Requirements)

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Professional Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in requirements management / business analysis within the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Project Delivery: Minimum 1-2 years of active delivery experience in structured project / Agile modes.
  • Domain & Technical Competence:
    • Expert level: Requirements Engineering, Requirements Analysis, and Process Modeling.
    • Advanced level: Core insurance and back-office support processes.
  • Languages: Full professional proficiency (C1/C2) in both German and English (daily collaboration with DACH stakeholders).
  • Tools: Advanced practical knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and MS Office 365.
  • Soft Skills: Holistic and analytical thinking, solution-driven approach, and confident stakeholder communication.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or an equivalent field.
  • Professional certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., IREB CPRE, CBAP) or Process Management (e.g., BPMN, Lean/Six Sigma).
