Summary: The Director of AI is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic development and implementation of artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions across the organization. Key Requirements:

  • Extensive professional experience within the Life Science industry, with a deep understanding of the regulatory requirements for AI/ML validation, GxP compliance, and ethical data usage in a clinical context.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT and Data Science leadership, with a proven track record of successfully directing AI initiatives from research/POC to enterprise-wide deployment.
  • Strong technical authority in machine learning architectures, deep learning, and the infrastructure required to support large-scale AI operations (MLOps).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing global, cross-functional teams and the ability to influence senior executive stakeholders on AI investment and adoption.
  • Mastery of the English language, with the ability to communicate complex AI strategies and outcomes to both scientific experts and business leadership.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the global AI strategy, ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with the organization’s scientific mission and long-term business goals.
  • Direct the design and deployment of AI-driven platforms that enhance R&D efficiency, shorten clinical trial timelines, and improve decision-making accuracy.
  • Oversee the AI governance framework, ensuring all models meet rigorous standards for transparency, explainability, and regulatory audit-readiness.
  • Partner with the Director of Data and other IT leaders to ensure a seamless integration of AI models into the broader enterprise data ecosystem.
  • Act as a primary thought leader for AI within the company, staying ahead of industry trends and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
