Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Data Engineer to join our growing data practice in Chennai. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that power our core analytical platforms.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders, to transform raw data into actionable insights. By optimizing our data infrastructure and ensuring high availability of critical datasets, you will directly influence strategic decision-making and drive operational efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement robust ETL/ELT workflows using Python and Airflow to ensure seamless data ingestion and transformation for downstream analytics.
- Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures within the Snowflake environment to support high-performance reporting and data modeling requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions that improve data accessibility and quality.
- Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance to reduce latency and ensure cost-effective resource utilization within the cloud environment.
- Maintain data integrity and security standards by implementing best practices in data governance and access control across all enterprise data assets.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in building and managing large-scale data warehouses using Snowflake, with a deep understanding of its architecture and performance tuning capabilities.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation, combined with hands-on experience in orchestrating workflows using Apache Airflow.
- Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to write complex joins, window functions, and performance-optimized queries for large datasets.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative, hybrid work environment, demonstrating self-motivation and a commitment to continuous learning.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field is preferred.
- Candidates must possess between 3 - 10 years of relevant professional experience in data engineering roles.
