Full-Stack Product Developer (f/m/d)
Munich · Full-time (40 hours/week) · Permanent position · Office-based
Lively Apps is a small software company based in Munich. Since 2020, we’ve been building collaboration and productivity software used by millions of people worldwide. And we’re working on something new: a product that gives people and AI agents reliable, permission-controlled access to company data.
We’re looking for a software developer who loves building products, enjoys working with customers, and takes ownership - maybe that’s you.
Your Role
You’re not just a software developer - you’re a product developer. You care about what we build, how we build it, and the value it delivers to our customers.
- You develop and improve our products - across frontend and backend.
- You work with the team and our customers to understand problems, agree on priorities, and shape solutions.
- You take features all the way: from first idea through testing and release to customer feedback and the next iteration.
- You review code and architecture decisions with your colleagues.
- You improve how we work - from automated tests and deployment pipelines to the way we use AI agents.
Writing software is the core of your job. Supporting our customers is part of it too - and what we learn from them flows straight back into our products.
You
- You take ownership and follow through. You get to the bottom of problems, raise risks early, ask for help when you need it, and see things through to the end.
- You think product. You come up with new features and improvements on your own.
- You understand software architecture. You design maintainable systems and make informed decisions about APIs, data, security, and integrations.
- You ship reliable software. Automated tests, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring are simply part of development for you.
- You work well with AI agents. You define clear tasks, review changes critically, and verify the results. Whether you write the code yourself or let an agent do it - you own the outcome.
- You stay hands-on with code. You can read production code, track down bugs, and implement improvements - even in parts of the system you haven’t worked with before.
- You’re comfortable discussing technical topics in German and English.
You have experience building, releasing, and maintaining software in production. Professional experience, vocational training, or a university degree - what matters to us is what you bring and what you can deliver.
Our Tech Stack
Among other things, we build products for Atlassian Confluence with Forge. Our products use TypeScript, React, Python, Java, databases, and a range of AWS services and Kubernetes stacks. We run on AWS - and at the same time, we’re working towards independent platforms in European data centres.
You don’t need to know every technology already. What matters more is that you understand and improve systems - and that you’re happy to work across our stack and learn whatever a task requires.
Who We Are
We’re a small team where every opinion counts. We set priorities together and give each other room to make decisions. Your contributions directly shape our products and the way we work.
- We value clear communication, good UX, technical quality, and simple, maintainable solutions.
- We’re open about uncertainty, share what we know, and support each other.
- Innovation is part of our everyday work: we try out ideas, improve how we work, and move the team forward.
Office Location / Hybrid
We moved back to the office in 2025 - and we’re much happier for it. Occasional home office is possible for everyone by agreement. Please keep this in mind when deciding whether to apply.
Benefits
- 30 vacation days and flexible working hours.
- MacBook Pro, AirPods Pro 3, and all the development and AI tools you need.
- Access to EGYM Wellpass.
- Your Deutschlandticket paid.
- Bike leasing via JobRad.
- We’re open to workations.
Interested?
Send your application and CV to [email protected].
You’re welcome to use AI tools for your application - but just like with our code, you stand by what you send us. Applications that tell us nothing personal about you or why this role interests you won’t be considered.
We look forward to hearing from you!
