The Work
The selected DevSecOps Engineer: Integrates security practices into the CI/CD pipeline by automating vulnerability scanning, dependency checks, and compliance controls throughout the software development lifecycle. Collaborates with development and operations teams to identify and remediate security risks early, ensuring code, infrastructure, and deployments meet security standards without slowing down delivery.
Standard Job Description
Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree and 0 years of related experience
- Must have a DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security + CE)
- Experience working with cloud technologies and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud
- Experience with Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services
- Communicates effectively, both internally and externally to team
- Current GWS GNI DevSecOps experience
- US Citizenship with an active secret clearance
- Ability to write or review software code (Java, Python, etc.)
- General understanding of DevSecOps practices
Desired Skills
- Recent experience with PaaS (Platform as a Service) infrastructure
- Familiar with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, and Nexus repositories
- Experience with configuration management tools, i.e., Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, others.
- Some knowledge of programming and scripting experience in a Windows environment (PowerShell, etc.)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $81100.00 - $150500.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
