Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team working on the Domain Detail. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in both backend (Node.js) and frontend (React/Next.js) development, with advanced proficiency in MySQL and PostgreSQL database management. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable APIs and user interfaces, and will deliver end-to-end solutions across the stack. This role requires strong code review skills, mentoring ability, and effective communication.

• 7-10 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer delivering both frontend and backend features.
• Strong expertise in Node.js backend development.
• Proficient in React and Next.js for frontend development.
• Advanced experience with MySQL (query optimization, schema design, migrations) and good working knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Able to write a unit test for FE and BE both.
• Solid understanding of REST API design and best practices.
• Experience with VSCode and modern development workflows (Git, branching, pull requests).
• Familiarity with Kanban or similar Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, able to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to understand requirements from JIRA and deliver high-quality, end-to-end solutions.

Key

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Node.js.
• Build and enhance user interfaces using React and Next.js, ensuring seamless integration
• with backend services.
• Deliver end-to-end features: from database and API to frontend UI.
• Optimize and manage complex MySQL and PostgreSQL database schemas and queries.
• Conduct code reviews for both backend and frontend codebases, ensuring adherence to
• best practices and coding standards.
• Analyze and understand business requirements from JIRA tickets, and translate them
• into technical solutions.
• Mentor and support junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
• Participate in Kanban-based sprint planning, estimation, and delivery.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to clarify requirements
• and provide technical guidance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and suggest improvements to the tech stack
• and development processes.

Required Skills:

• Expert-level proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong experience with React (> 18) and Next.js (>14)
• Advanced SQL skills, especially with Postgress / MySQL (query optimization, joins, indexing, migrations).
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of database relationships and data modeling in Node.js applications.
• Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience with VSCode and modern developer tooling.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

Qualifications

• Experience with PostgreSQL in addition to MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with Python will be plus.
• Exposure to AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Cursor, Copilot) for productivity and code assistance.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Playwright).
• Prior experience in mentoring, code review, and technical leadership.
