Lead Industrial Designer (Fixed-Term Contract)

Logitech G is looking for a passionate and highly collaborative Lead Industrial Designer to join our ID Team in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Our new Industrial Designer must have an outstanding design portfolio and extensive experience in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, and User Experience.

You are an experienced Industrial Designer with a passion for designing next-generation products and services that make people’s lives better. You are comfortable tackling all aspects of the design process from user research through to design detailing and delivery. You are by nature a conceptual thinker, always iterating and prototyping to learn. You are a highly motivated self-starter always willing to help teams come together to deliver amazing experiences, and as such you are extremely comfortable socializing, initiating, and driving the processes, collaborations, negotiations, and delivery these experiences require with an open, humble, and collaborative attitude, focused on helping everyone reach incredible outcomes.

• Be part of an eclectic mix of great designers and craftspeople in an international environment

• Be hands-on, creating high quality Design vision work and concepts through sketches, illustrations and renderings

• Create precise 3D CAD designs, prototypes and mockups

• Participate to many phases of the design process from conceptual, to strategic, and to tactical

• Collaborate daily with other designers, engineers and partners

• Lead projects and coordinate activities of other designers as required by the project/projects

• Communicate proactively and effectively across multiple levels within design & business stakeholders

• Communicate ideas and design intents with clarity through decks, images and videos

• Influence and inspire our business and product partners and leaders

• Network with management and key contacts in and outside of your own area of expertise, acting as a spokesperson on major matters pertaining to Design policies, plans, and objectives

• Occasionally travel nationally and internationally

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

• He/she is a passionate design thinker and craftsperson

• 7+ years of relevant experience in Industrial Design or Mechanical Product Design Engineering

• Compelling portfolio of design work that proves solid design skills and demonstrates forward thinking

• Excellent skills in ideation, concept visualization, form development, CAD, model making, and rapid prototyping

• Strong visual acuity and formal literacy

• Experience defining Materials, Colors and Finishes, optimizing Design for Manufacturing, Reviewing Prototypes, EVT, and DVT builds

• Enjoys an autonomous working style but is also highly collaborative

• Is humble, collaborative and always open to taking direction and learn from others

• Has a BS in Industrial Design/Product Design/Mechanical Engineering or a related degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience

• As a plus, knows Gaming and is actively engaged in Gaming culture
