Lead Mechatronics Engineer

The Role:

We are looking for an Expert Mechatronics Engineer with working management capabilities to join our Suzhou Engineering Group (SEG) in China (Suzhou). In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Leading mechatronics (MTX) system-level analysis, design exploration, architectural definition, and implementation for SEG products.
• Defining and driving the regional MTX technology and building block (TB) roadmap in Suzhou.
• Serving as a hands-on working manager and expert lead for the local MTX engineering team in Suzhou, aligning closely with global leadership.

In this role you will:

• Lead MTX system-level exploration, design, modeling, analysis, and qualification for next-generation SEG technology bricks.
• Drive the local MTX technology roadmap in Suzhou, ensuring alignment with global MTX strategy and SEG portfolio targets.
• Act as a working manager, providing technical mentorship, team direction, and execution oversight for the Suzhou MTX team.
• Collaborate seamlessly with worldwide MTX teams, manufacturing partners, and suppliers to ensure robust integration of MTX building blocks into high-volume products.
• Partner with cross-functional project teams to transition advanced technologies and innovative bricks into Mass Production (MP).
• Provide expert-level support for online MP issue resolution, driving root-cause analysis and feed-forward improvements to brick owners.
• Contribute to conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions. Applies creative approaches for process and program/product development.
• Translate the market languages to engineering languages, define the hardware technical requirements, make sure it is consistent.
• Collaborate between Product Managers, Embedded software Engineers, Mechanical engineers, Electrical engineers and Testing development engineers.
• Explore new opportunities from local suppliers, competitors, fairs etc…
• Lead watching for regional competitors for MTX techno in China
• Provide right level documentation with strongly synthesize and propose capability
• Challenge and highlight the issues foreseen or in the very beginning

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:

• Deep expert engineering background across EE, FW, and ME with proven success delivering complex mechatronic systems into mass production.
• Curious and explore new technology
• System level thinking for design and problem solving
• Capability to synthesize and propose.
• Lead the problem solving
• Cross sites and cross functions communication
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
• Demonstrated working management or team leadership capabilities, with ability to mentor technical talent and drive execution.
• Familiarity with Suzhou Engineering Group (SEG) technologies, sensors, actuators, or intelligent hardware systems is highly preferred.

Education:

• Engineering master degree, or bachelor with solid experience
