The MSAT Process Specialist of DSP at Lonza AG will play a key role in supporting the successful transfer, scale-up, validation activities, continuous improvement of biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes. This individual will provide technical expertise and hands-on support to ensure robust and efficient production.
What you will do:
- Execute and oversee process validation activities in downstream unit operations.
- Support the transfer of new manufacturing processes from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring successful scale-up and validation activities
- Support root cause analysis for process deviations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Develop and revise process documentation, including process description, validation protocols and reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical reports.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing operations for troubleshooting and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and R&D.
- Support regulatory submissions.
- Conduct data analysis and trending to monitor process performance and identify areas for improvement.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process development, MSAT, or manufacturing support within the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of downstream (purification) manufacturing processes.
- Experience with process scale-up, technology transfer, and validation activities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of cGMP regulations and quality systems.
