SAP Analytics Architect - BOLD Program

To support its growing needs or corporate reporting & analysis, Louis Dreyfus Company started in 2017 the implementation of a new BackOffice solution based on SAP S/4 and SAP Datasphere under a Program named BOLD - BackOffice Louis Dreyfus.

To cover the gaps between standard SAP S/4 and the LDC business requirements, we require ABAP, Fiori, and BI Analytics developers to enhance our SAP S/4 system. The daily coordination, hiring, evaluating, and coaching of these developers requires a Senior Solution specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Solution architecture and design

• Translate business and functional requirements into clear, pragmatic analytics solution designs.
• Recommend suitable data sources, modeling approaches, integration patterns, semantic layers, and reporting tools.
• Produce lightweight architecture diagrams, design notes, and implementation guidance appropriate to the complexity of each initiative.

Collaboration with business and delivery teams

• Work with business and functional stakeholders to clarify reporting outcomes, KPIs, data needs, and constraints.
• Explain design options and trade-offs in clear language and help teams reach practical decisions.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, data owners, security, integration, and platform teams throughout delivery.

Architecture guidance and governance

• Apply and help improve common analytics principles for modeling, naming, reuse, security, documentation, and data quality.
• Review solution proposals and designs, providing constructive recommendations rather than acting as a formal approval gate for every change.
• Encourage reusable data products, consistent KPI definitions, clear lineage, and maintainable reporting solutions.

Delivery support and quality

• Support delivery teams during design, build, testing, deployment, and issue resolution.
• Perform focused design reviews for performance, security, scalability, supportability, and alignment with agreed standards.
• Help investigate recurring data or reporting issues and identify proportionate improvements.

Knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

• Share practical examples, templates, and reusable patterns with analysts and developers.
• Contribute to retrospectives and architecture discussions to improve delivery quality and consistency.
• Stay informed about relevant SAP analytics capabilities and assess them based on real program needs.

Must-Have Experience

• Around 5 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data, reporting, or related technology delivery; equivalent practical experience is welcome.
• Experience contributing to solution design, data modeling, integration, reporting, or technical coordination.
• Working knowledge of SAP analytics, ideally with exposure to one or more of SAP Datasphere, SAP BW, SAP S/4 data, or SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Ability to understand business needs and turn them into clear, feasible solution designs.
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Experience with SAP Datasphere, BW/4HANA, SAC, Power BI, Analysis for Office, CDS views, SQL, or HANA modeling.
• Exposure to data governance, cataloging, data products, semantic modeling, or cloud analytics.
• Functional knowledge of finance, logistics, sales, procurement, or other back-office processes.
• Experience in an international environment or an SAP transformation program.

Education

• Degree, technical qualification, or equivalent practical experience in information systems, engineering, analytics, data, business, or a related field.
