Responsibilities

What you will Do

  • Research potential transmission opportunities and assess relevant engineering, transmission planning, permitting, siting, regulatory, cost, schedule, and commercial considerations.
  • Develop preliminary project concepts and compare alternative scopes, facilities, and execution approaches.
  • Perform engineering analyses and prepare calculations, studies, drawings, and other technical deliverables.
  • Learn and use PLS-CADD to perform transmission line design and related analyses.
  • Coordinate with internal specialists and external consultants to gather and evaluate information and develop analyses and project documents.
  • Identify missing or conflicting information and update analyses as project inputs change.
  • Prepare proposals, analyses, cost estimates, and risk assessments for competitive pursuits and internal decisions.
  • Own assigned work through completion, meet deadlines, raise issues early, and check work for accuracy and consistency.
  • Use approved artificial intelligence and other productivity tools to improve work quality and efficiency while independently verifying results.

Qualifications

We want you on our team because you

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university, with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or May 2027.
  • Have an interest in transmission development and the ability to apply an engineering mindset to technical and business challenges.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bring consistent attention to detail.
  • Can independently learn unfamiliar concepts and software.
  • Can solve complex problems by making reasonable assumptions and supporting conclusions with evidence.
