QA Lead

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement the QA strategy from scratch, including frameworks, tools, processes, and standards.
• Build and maintain automated test suites (functional, regression, performance, security).
• Set up and own QA within CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform and oversee API, UI, and end-to-end testing for AI-powered legal products.
• Define and track quality metrics and reporting for leadership.
• Work directly with founders, engineers, and product managers to embed quality into every sprint.
• Hire and mentor junior QA engineers as the team scales.
• Own bug tracking workflows using JIRA or equivalent.
• Evaluate and decide on tooling and budget for the QA function.

Requirements:

• 4-8 years of QA experience, with at least 1-2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Proven experience building QA processes from scratch (startup experience strongly preferred).
• Hands-on with automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• Strong in API testing, Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
• Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines and Git.
• Experience testing AI/ML-powered products is a big plus.
• Exposure to performance and security testing.
• An excellent communicator can translate QA insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• In an entrepreneurial mindset, you see gaps and fix them without being asked.
