Lucio is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to build intuitive, scalable, and high-quality user experiences for its AI-native legal platform. The role involves translating complex AI-driven workflows into clean, reliable interfaces while working closely with Product, Backend, and Design teams to build reusable frontend systems and deliver impactful features.

Responsibilities:

  • Build scalable frontend applications using React and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Develop reusable UI components and contribute to a design system.
  • Implement client-side and server-side state management.
  • Build complex forms with validation.
  • Optimize frontend performance using techniques like lazy loading, code splitting, memoization, and efficient rendering.
  • Collaborate with Product, Backend, and Design teams to deliver end-to-end features.
  • Ensure responsive, accessible, and cross-browser compatible applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in code reviews and frontend architecture discussions.
  • Debug and resolve production UI issues while maintaining excellent user experience.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of frontend development experience in production environments.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Extensive experience with React (Hooks, Lifecycle, Routing, Complex UI).
  • Experience with UI libraries/design systems: MUI (Preferred), Ant Design, Chakra UI, Mantine.
  • Client-side state management: Redux Toolkit, Zustand.
  • Server-state/data fetching: React Query (TanStack Query), SWR, RTK Query.
  • Forms and Validation: React Hook Form (Preferred), Zod / Yup.
  • Strong knowledge of: CSS3 Responsive Design, Flexbox, CSS Grid.
  • Frontend performance optimization.
  • Experience with Next.js or Remix (SSR/SSG).
  • Tailwind CSS.
  • Git and collaborative workflows.
  • Strong understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, and browser developer tools.
  • Experience with Vite, Webpack, or Parcel.
  • Accessibility (WCAG) best practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup with high ownership.
