We are looking for an experienced Field Auditor to join our team in Nigeria, to influence how audit findings impact customer trust and business performance.

The Role

As a Field Auditor, you will visit field locations, test whether operations match policy and regulation, and turn what you find into clear recommendations. You will work with teams across the business to make sure fixes are implemented.

Growing from millions to ten million customers means more field activity, more locations and more processes that must hold up under pressure. We are deliberately building stronger assurance to match that scale, and Field Auditor is a key part of it.

About M-KOPA

M-KOPA is a pan-African fintech that makes financial inclusion real. We finance everyday assets like smartphones and e-motorbikes for people that traditional finance has overlooked. We now serve 10 million customers across Africa and have extended over $2 billion in credit.

This is an on-site role, you would be working from our offices in Nigeria, partnering with a diverse group of employees from our different markets and locations across the UK, Europe and Africa. You will be reporting to the Senior Field Auditor.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct field audits at various locations and review operational procedures and documents

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

  • Identify discrepancies, inefficiencies and areas for improvement, and run risk assessments with mitigation strategies

  • Recommend corrective action and follow up until it is implemented

  • Help develop and deliver field audit plans, completing assignments on time

  • Prepare detailed audit reports, present findings to stakeholders and work with other departments to gather what you need

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 2-3 years of demonstrable experience in stock management and operations auditing, including retail audits, inventory variance analysis and compliance checks in similar environments

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any field. Your audit expertise and operational acumen matter more than the subject

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with Excel and Word essential for data analysis and report preparation

  • A sharp eye for detail and strong organisational skills: you catch inconsistencies others miss, juggle overlapping timelines and keep clear schedules and task systems

  • Clear, professional communication by email, phone and in person with a wide range of stakeholders

  • Self-direction and integrity: you work independently without micromanagement, bring a strong work ethic and strictly follow company anti-bribery and corruption policies

The Reality

This role requires precision under pressure. You'll work with tight deadlines, manage multiple audit schedules simultaneously, and navigate field contexts across Nigeria. You'll balance detailed documentation with field problem-solving. You'll operate independently, often in retail environments with competing demands.
