Key Roles and Responsibilities

Airfreight Shipment Execution

• Handle daily air export and/or import shipment operations.
• Process shipment bookings and coordinate space confirmation with airlines.
• Follow up flight schedules, routing, capacity, and shipment status.
• Coordinate cargo pickup, warehouse handling, screening, and delivery to the airline or terminal.
• Monitor shipments according to the planned routing and schedule.
• Proactively follow up operational exceptions, delays, rollovers, or other shipment issues.
• Maintain operational milestones and shipment status updates.
• Verify cargo details such as pieces, gross weight, dimensions, commodity, and special handling requirements.
• Follow up irregularities and work with relevant parties on recovery solutions.
• Monitor shipment movement from origin through the required operational milestones.
• Identify potential delays or service failures early.
• Escalate critical operational issues to the appropriate Air Operations lead.
• Work closely with Customer Experience, Air Product, Procurement, Commercial, Finance, and other operational teams.
• Follow Maersk Airfreight SOPs and local operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and digital adoption within Air Operations.

• Good understanding of airfreight operations, export and import processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good coordination and organizational skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to handle multiple shipments and priorities.
• Proactive problem solving and exception management.
• Ability to work under operational pressure while maintaining quality.
• Good stakeholder management.
• Comfortable working with operational systems and digital tools.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including after-hours and weekends, when operationally required.
• Teamwork and customer-focused mindset.
