Assets&IndustrialConnectivityEngineer

Operational excellence is one of the core strategic pillars of APM Terminals’ long-term strategy. As part of the Asset Digitization Solutions team within the Process Automation(OperationsTechnology)function,youwillplayacriticalroleinenablingtheconnectionofterminalassetstodigitalplatforms,ensuringreliabledataflowandsupportingthedeploymentofscalabletechnologysolutionsacrossourglobalnetwork.

You will assess asset connectivity requirements, support hardware and infrastructure implementation,developtechnicaldocumentation,andcollaboratewithstakeholderstoensurestandardized,high-qualitydeployments.Thisroleoffersauniqueopportunitytocombineindustrialautomation,connectivity,andoperationaltechnologyexpertiseinaglobalenvironment.

KeyResponsibilities:

• DefineandimplementtechnicalrequirementsthatenabledataflowbetweenterminalassetsandAssetDigitizationapplications.
• Assessterminalinfrastructure,conductaudits,andestablishtechnicalactionplansbeforeprojectimplementation.
• Configurehardwaredevices,supportinstallationandretrofittingactivities,andenablethecollectionofnewoperationalsignals.
• Defineequipment-specifictemplates,classifyanddocumentsignals,andcoordinatesignalmappingactivitieswithOEMs.
• Supportcommissioning,testing,FactoryAcceptanceTesting(FAT),andSiteAcceptanceTesting(SAT)activitiestovalidatedeployments.
• Delivertechnicaldocumentation,installationstandards,trainingmaterials,andknowledgetransfersessionsforterminalteams.
• Collaboratewithinternalstakeholders,suppliers,andOEMstodeploy,standardize,andsupportAssetDigitizationsolutionsacrossterminals.

• Continuousimprovementmindset:wearelookingforsomeonewhobringsathoughtfulimprovementmindset-curiousabouthowworkgetsdoneandmotivatedtomakemeaningful,sustainableimprovementsovertime.
• DegreeinEngineeringorarelatedtechnicaldiscipline,withatleastfiveyearsofexperienceintechnology,operations,automation,orlogistics-relatedenvironments.
• Strongknowledgeofportequipment,industrialautomationsystems,controls,industrialinfrastructurearchitecture,andreal-timeoperationalenvironments.
• ExperienceprogrammingandtroubleshootingPLCsystems,includingplatformssuchasSiemens,ABB,Yaskawa,Fuji,Omron,GEFanuc,andsimilartechnologies.
• Solidunderstandingofindustrialnetworking,devicecommunicationprotocols,IoTintegration,edgecomputing,cybersecuritypractices,andinfrastructuremanagement.
• ExperiencewithSCADAplatforms,particularlyIgnition,alongsideproficiencyinprogramminglanguagessuchasC/C++,Python,andLinux.
• Stronganalytical,problem-solving,stakeholdermanagement,communication,andcollaborationskills,withtheabilitytoworkeffectivelyacrossmulticulturalteams.
