A.P. Moller-Maersk is a Danish shipping and logistics group founded in 1904 that operates one of the largest container fleets in the world and has spent the past several years trying to become an integrated logistics company rather than only a carrier. The strategic argument is that container shipping is a brutally cyclical commodity business, while contract logistics, warehousing and air freight produce steadier earnings and deeper customer relationships. Headquartered in Copenhagen and controlled by the Moller family foundation, it also operates APM Terminals, one of the largest port terminal networks globally.

Join a global logistics business where customs, compliance and operational excellence come together

We are looking for a Customs Operations Specialist to join our Customs Control Tower team in Poland.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, structured and highly regulated environment, and who takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work. In this role, you will help coordinate and support a range of customs activities, ensuring smooth execution, compliance with customs requirements, and excellent service to internal stakeholders.

You will be part of a collaborative team where attention to detail, ownership, process discipline and continuous improvement really matter.

What you’ll be doing

As a Customs Operations Specialist, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day customs operation by coordinating activities, maintaining process quality, and ensuring work is completed in line with required standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and organising customs-related activities within the team
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with standard operating procedures and internal process guidelines
  • Supporting compliance with local customs authority and statutory requirements
  • Maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality across customs processes
  • Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and supporting excellent service delivery
  • Collaborating closely with team members, sharing knowledge and supporting cross-training across accounts
  • Working to deadlines in a fast-moving operational environment
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and process excellence

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and quality-focused, with the confidence to work independently while also being a strong team player.

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Outlook, Excel and Teams
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines under pressure
  • Experience working in a regulated and fast-paced environment
  • Fluent English with good communication skills
  • Experience building effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support the wider team
  • A degree or equivalent qualification/certificate
  • A process-driven approach with a strong focus on quality
  • A self-motivated, problem-solving mindset
  • Experience in the logistics industry

It would be an advantage if you also have:

  • Previous customs experience, ideally across European import and export
  • A customs qualification/certificate
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • A continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience working in a large international organisation

What we offer

In return, we offer a role in an international environment where you can build your customs knowledge, develop your career and be part of a team that plays a key role in supporting smooth cross-border operations.

Our package includes:

  • 6,500 PLN - 8,500 PLN gross per month, depending on experience
  • 7.5% annual bonus
  • LuxMed
  • Sports Card
  • Opportunity to grow your experience in customs and logistics
  • Exposure to a global, collaborative business environment

Why join us?

This is an opportunity to become part of a team that helps keep international trade moving. If you enjoy working with process, compliance, coordination and operational detail, and you want to grow within a global logistics environment, we’d love to hear from you.
