Job Responsibilities:

Scope of Position

  • Manages the timely and accurate reporting of financial information and ensures all business transactions conform to the established procedures. Maintains general ledger and company interface to ensure accounting accuracy and analyzes and verifies accuracy of financial transactions. Creates journal entries, reconciles sub-ledgers, prepares financial statements and monthly/quarterly reporting. Liaises with auditors, financial institutions and government revenue agencies as required and prepares government returns.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in automotive manufacturing or high-volume production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, QuickBooks, or equivalent.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and reporting functions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while ensuring accuracy.
  • Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Knowledge of government reporting requirements and tax filings is preferred.

Job Specific Responsibilities

  • Prepare, post, and review journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper reconciliation of all accounts.
  • Reconcile sub-ledgers, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Analyze financial transactions and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate policies and GAAP.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as required.
  • Prepare and submit government reports and tax filings, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
  • Provide guidance and support to other accounting team members as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation of process improvements, automation, and system upgrades within accounting functions.
  • Review and update accounting procedures and policies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and other external parties as needed.
  • Assist management with ad hoc financial analyses, reporting, and decision-making support.
  • Ensure accounting activities align with corporate objectives and operational requirements.
