Job Responsibilities:

Schedule

• 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, [5:00am-3:30pm]
• Overtime and weekend work as needed

Responsibilities: ( These duties cover only the more significant responsibilities, they are not meant to be all inclusive. Other duties may be given by the supervisor in addition to, or instead of, those listed here.)

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery and production systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Maintain motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and control systems.
• Document maintenance activities and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Active participation in MAFACT Teams and activities as required.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities, submits Cost saving improvement suggestions, CIP’s.
• Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to including IATF16949, ISO14001 (EMS), and Employee Handbook.
• Follows MIOSHA and MPTSH safety regulations and policies, including wearing required P.P.E. (Personal Protective Equipment).

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, PLCs, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to work overtime and respond to emergency maintenance needs as required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Ability to obtain forklift and aerial permits, previous experience. Must be able to obtain Confined Space certification. Must possess valid driver’s license.

Additional Skills:

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Read, write and speak English.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as Ohms Law, volts, watts, power consumption and necessary fuse ratings. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software such as RS Logix, and other pertinent software. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office.

Reasoning Skills: Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to use problem solving when presented with problems or duties that do not have immediate answers or results.

Communication Skills: Strong communication (oral and written) skills. Ability to use active listening. Able to clearly communicate technical details to all levels of the organization and in a fashion to allow effective problem solving.

Problem Solving Skills: Must be able to facilitate structured problem solving. Must actively participate in problem solving in a cross functional team activities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crouch, twist and stretch and stand for prolonged periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds and climb stairs. The employee must regularly stand and walk, talk and listen and use a computer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee must have the ability to work indoors and outdoors at heights and in confined spaces.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
