ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

• Review pass-down logs and inspection reports from previous shifts.
• Perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance on teardown and ultrasonic testing equipment.
• Conduct destructive testing and teardown inspections of automotive components.
• Perform ultrasonic inspections using specialized measurement equipment.
• Evaluate products against customer requirements, weld standards, sealer requirements, and pushout specifications.
• Identify, document, and communicate quality concerns to Quality Technicians, Supervisors, and Team Leaders.
• Complete teardown documentation accurately and maintain required inspection records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to teardown and ultrasonic inspection processes.
• Follow all plant safety rules, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices in accordance with 5S standards.
• Support company policies, quality systems, and operational procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

WORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL TRAINING

• Six months to one year of manufacturing, quality, inspection, or related experience preferred.
• Experience using ultrasonic measurement or testing equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, quality standards, and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to identify problems, collect data, and communicate findings effectively.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
