Manulife is a Canadian insurance and asset management group founded in Toronto in 1887, with the first Canadian prime minister as its founding president. It sells life and health insurance, annuities and retirement products in Canada, the United States under the John Hancock brand and across a dozen Asian markets, and runs Manulife Investment Management as a global asset manager for institutional and retail clients. Headquartered in Toronto and listed in Toronto, New York and Hong Kong, it earns a growing share of its profit in Asia and has been reducing its exposure to legacy long-term care liabilities through reinsurance transactions.

Through research, campaign support, social media initiatives, and strategic projects, you'll build practical skills in brand management, marketing analytics, storytelling, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support sponsorship and brand activation initiatives, including activation research, audience engagement strategies, measurement approaches, and post-event reporting.
  • Research AI-enabled marketing tools and emerging technologies and contribute recommendations for improving marketing workflows, content development, and audience engagement.
  • Complete a strategic brand, social media, or audience engagement project that includes research, analysis, actionable recommendations, and an executive presentation to Marketing leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program with an interest in marketing, branding, advertising, digital media, financial services, or a related area.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and recommendations clearly.
  • Experience conducting research, analyzing information, and translating findings into actionable recommendations and presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Interest in brand building, social media, customer engagement, and emerging marketing trends, including AI-enabled tools and technologies.
  • Demonstrated initiative through internships, case competitions, student leadership, entrepreneurship, content creation, digital marketing projects, or other relevant experiences.

When you join our team:

  • We'll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.
  • We'll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.
