Overall Scope:
The EHS Specialist will provide technical support in management of EHS related topics for Dover Fueling Solution.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support in management of EHS related topics including: Lockout, Confined Space, Emergency Response, Hazard Communication, Waste Management, Spill Response, Storm Water etc. • Provide technical support and problem solving in troubleshooting safety and environmental issues. • Assist in writing technical and management systems reports and documents.
- Bring together staff of different disciplines and lead a group to plan, formulate and agree to managing key EHS issues. • Maintain EHS controls and documentation procedures. • Assist with internal compliance audits and program evaluations. • Oversee department sub-contractor support as needed. • Instruct safety-related training classes for employees, temp agency employees, and contractors. • Support the EHS department as a valuable and knowledgeable resource.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor or Associate of Science degree in Health & Safety preferred. • Experience with OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, Integrated Management Systems, and associated documentation and audits. • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Power Point).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in safety experience preferred. • Experience working within manufacturing industry is preferred.
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Safety regulatory knowledge • Outstanding communication skills to work with employees and management • Highly organized and able to successfully manage multiple projects
- Capable of working independently in a self-directed environment
