POSITION SUMMARY
As HR Operations Specialist - Europe, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality HR support across our European locations. You will own and coordinate core HR processes such as payroll, employee administration, absence management, and contracts.
Working closely with HR Business Partners, managers, and Finance, you will ensure our HR back office is accurate, efficient, and well-organized. In addition to managing daily operations, you will leverage our HR data to develop standard reports, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify trends at both the site and European levels. This is a hands-on role for a structured professional who likes to get things done, maintain data integrity, and continuously improve how HR operates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will work closely with the HR Business partners within Europe. Specific responsibilities include:
Core HR Operations & Administration
- Employee Lifecycle: Manage all administration from onboarding to offboarding, including creating contracts, processing job changes, and maintaining accurate digital employee files.
- Payroll Coordination: Coordinate and run monthly payroll processes seamlessly with external European payroll providers.
- Absence & Compliance: Manage absence administration with local providers and ensure all HR processes comply with local labor laws and GDPR.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to standardize, simplify, and improve HR processes and templates across Europe.
HR Reporting & KPI Monitoring
- Dashboarding & Reports: Develop, maintain and update HR dashboards and recurring reports to track key metrics (e.g., absenteeism, headcount, turnover).
- Trend Analysis: Review operational data to identify and highlight basic trends and insights at the site and European level for HR management.
- Data Guarding: Ensure high data quality and integrity within our HR systems to serve as a reliable foundation for business decisions.
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who combines strong HR administration skills with a practical, improvement-oriented mindset.
- 2-5 years of experience in HR administration, HR Operations, payroll or a similar role
- Data & Excel Skills: Strong Microsoft Office skills, with advanced Excel capabilities (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) to build formulas, charts, and reports. Experience with dashboard tools is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and a structured way of working with a high attention to detail and data.
- Experience with payroll processes and HR systems is preferred (SD Worx, Workday)
- A proactive mindset and an interest in improving processes and ways of working
- Comfortable working in an international, complex and changing environment
- Knowledge of Dutch and/or Belgian employment practices is an advantage
- Fluent in Dutch and English
