What can you expect?

JLT Public Sector is Australia’s trusted specialist in designing and delivering risk solutions for governments and the communities they serve. With more than 50 years’ experience, we bring deep technical expertise, practical insight, and a strong focus on innovation-continuing to evolve so our clients remain protected, always.

This is an exciting opportunity to join JLT Public Sector (part of Marsh) supporting service delivery for Local Government clients across Victoria and Tasmania. Local Government is diverse and complex-much like the solutions we provide, from managing self-insurance funds (Mutuals) and supporting in-house claims teams, to delivering broader risk and insurance services that help protect the long-term interests of local communities.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in strengthening client relationships and enhancing the experience across a portfolio of Public Sector clients. You’ll provide high-quality administrative and technical support to the account management team, clients, and key stakeholders, helping ensure seamless service delivery and consistent outcomes.

What’s in it for you?

  • Grow your risk management career while supporting trusted-advisor outcomes for clients
  • A professional, values-led environment where your career development is genuinely supported within a global organization
  • A collaborative team culture with passionate, energetic, and supportive colleagues
  • Strong work-life balance through a hybrid working model

We will count on you to:

  • Provide proactive account management support across all aspects of client service delivery, ensuring client needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards and compliance requirements
  • Partner with our offshore processing center and operations teams to identify improvement opportunities and support process/system enhancements
  • Maintain and support our online client portal, including ad hoc system training where required
  • Assist team members as needed to ensure consistent, high-quality client outcomes
  • Manage and maintain the daily team mailbox to support timely and accurate responses
  • Prepare documentation in line with company service standards, compliance procedures, and approved tools

What you need to have:

  • Demonstrated experience in an insurance broker support role
  • Public Sector and/or affinity servicing experience (highly regarded)
  • Tier 1 compliance (advantageous)
  • Strong understanding and application of insurance broking principles, products, and services
  • Confidence working across multiple systems and processes
  • Ability to manage, interpret, and analyze large datasets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with effective time management and presentation capability

Why join our team:

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.

  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
