Marvell Technology is an American fabless semiconductor company founded in 1995 that designs the infrastructure silicon behind data centres, carrier networks and storage systems. Its portfolio covers electro-optics and digital signal processors for optical links, ethernet switching and physical layer devices, storage controllers, and custom application specific integrated circuits designed for individual cloud operators. Headquartered in Santa Clara and listed on Nasdaq, it reoriented itself over the past decade from consumer and storage chips toward data centre and artificial intelligence infrastructure, which now supplies the majority of its revenue.

About Marvell

Marvell’s semiconductor solutions are the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure that connects our world. Across enterprise, cloud and AI, and carrier architectures, our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities.

At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead.

Your Team, Your Impact

Marvell's Connectivity BU is the industry leader in PHY devices for AI, cloud data center, and enterprise infrastructure - delivering an end-to-end connectivity portfolio that spans from centimeters to kilometers. That includes coherent and coherent-lite optical DSPs and PAM DSPs powering pluggable and DCI optical modules; Ethernet PHY transceivers from 1G to 400G+; PCIe retimers (Gen 6/7) connecting GPUs, CPUs, and CXL/disaggregated infrastructure inside the server; linear drivers and TIAs and emerging micro-LED optical interconnects for die-to-die, package-level scale-up. Connectivity sits alongside custom silicon and networking as one of three core segments of Marvell's Data Center Group, and its products are the physical layer inside AI GPU boards, top-of-rack fiber, active copper cabling, and the scale-up, scale-out, and scale-across (DCI/long-haul) fabric connecting AI clusters.

As Sr. Director, Connectivity BU Planning, you will own end-to-end supply planning, revenue forecasting, and customer commit management across this portfolio. You'll lead the team that keeps Marvell's Connectivity roadmap and factory execution in lockstep with some of the most demanding, fastest-moving customer programs in the industry - including active, high-visibility scale-up programs with hyperscale cloud customers. This is a role with direct exposure to Marvell's C-suite and the customer's own executive leadership.

What You Can Expect

Strategic Planning & Executive Engagement

  • Own the supply planning strategy across Connectivity's optical DSP (coherent, coherent-lite, PAM), Ethernet PHY, and PCIe retimer product lines, translating hyperscale AI infrastructure buildouts into executable supply plans.
  • Serve as the senior planning voice in customer and executive reviews - representing Marvell in front of customer supply chain executives and briefing Marvell's executive team directly on program health.
  • Lead recovery, ramp, and scale-up programs for marquee AI/cloud customers, including capacity and commit negotiations during periods of explosive demand growth.

Revenue Forecasting & Customer Commit Management

  • Own the revenue forecast for Connectivity, driving quarterly and monthly alignment across BU, Sales, and Finance.
  • Manage customer commit and delinquency exposure across a multi-billion-dollar portfolio that is among the fastest-growing at Marvell, spanning optical modules, PHYs, and retimers.
  • Build and defend build plans and capacity allocations that balance customer commitments, inventory targets, and Marvell's broader portfolio priorities.

Operational Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing team of BU planners, instilling planning discipline and a bias for proactive, data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with NPI Planning, Foundry/OSAT Procurement, and Logistics to keep new product ramps and high-volume manufacturing supply in sync.
  • Institutionalize KPIs, dashboards, and root-cause processes so the organization catches and resolves risk before it reaches the customer.

Cross-Functional & External Partnership

  • Partner with Sales, Product Marketing, Engineering, and Finance to keep the Connectivity roadmap grounded in real supply and capacity constraints.
  • Engage directly with foundry and OSAT partners on capacity, expedites, and long-term supply agreements supporting Connectivity's growth.
  • Work with IT and Analytics to modernize planning systems and reporting (e.g., Kinaxis, Power BI) as the business scales.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a leader who has operated at this altitude before - someone who has run high-stakes supply/demand planning for a hyperscale-facing semiconductor or systems business, and who is comfortable being the person in the room when a top customer's executives ask hard questions.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Operations; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years in semiconductor or systems supply chain planning, including 7+ years in a leadership role owning a P&L-significant product line or customer relationship.
  • Direct experience supporting hyperscale cloud, AI infrastructure, or high-speed interconnect customers
  • Familiarity with the optical/electrical interconnect ecosystem - optical modules and DSPs, Ethernet PHYs, PCIe/CXL retimers, or active copper cabling - and how these technologies map to AI cluster scale-up, scale-out, and DCI architectures.
  • Proven track record owning revenue forecasting, customer commits, and capacity allocation in a fast-growth, supply-constrained environment.
  • Experience with advanced planning systems (e.g., Kinaxis, Oracle, SAP IBP) and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Executive presence and the communication skill to brief senior internal leadership and customer executives with equal credibility.
  • A bias for ownership: comfortable stepping into ambiguity, stabilizing a program under pressure, and building durable process out of a crisis.

WHY MARVELL

  • Work at the center of the AI infrastructure buildout - our interconnect technology is inside the racks powering the world's largest AI training and inference clusters.
  • Direct visibility and access to Marvell's COO, CSCO, and the executive teams of our largest customers.
  • A total compensation package including base, bonus, and equity, plus flexible time off, 401(k), year-end shutdown, and floating holidays.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

186,900 - 280,000, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.

This role is eligible to participate in Marvell's bonus and equity plans, including a new hire equity grant and annual equity refreshers, ensuring you are rewarded for your contributions and remain invested in the company's long-term success.

Additional Compensation and Benefit Elements

Marvell is committed to providing exceptional, comprehensive benefits that support our employees at every stage - from internship to retirement and through life’s most important moments. Our offerings are built around four key pillars: financial well-being, family support, mental and physical health, and recognition. Highlights include an employee stock purchase plan with a 2-year look back, family support programs to help balance work and home life, robust mental health resources to prioritize emotional well-being, and a recognition and service awards to celebrate contributions and milestones.
