With more than 160,000 members and supporters, Mass Audubon protects over 41,000 acres of land throughout Massachusetts, saving birds and other wildlife, and making nature accessible to all. We welcome you to explore a nearby sanctuary, find inspiration, and get involved.

About Mass Audubon

Mass Audubon is the largest nature-based conservation organization in New England. Founded in 1896 by two women who fought for the protection of birds, Mass Audubon carries on their legacy by focusing on the greatest challenges facing the environment today: the loss of biodiversity, inequitable access to nature, and climate change. With the help of our 160,000 members and supporters, we protect wildlife, conserve and restore resilient land, advocate for impactful environmental policies, offer nationally recognized education programs for adults and children, and provide endless opportunities to experience the outdoors at our wildlife sanctuaries. Explore, find inspiration, and take action at massaudubon.org.

About This Position

We are seeking field teachers to help with field trips and in-school programs at Oak Knoll and Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuaries. Our field trip programs engage students in kindergarten through high school in hikes and nature exploration at our sanctuaries. Our in-school programs offer engaging kits and hands-on activities in the classrooms. All our programs align with state and national science standards and encourage exploration, collaboration, and inquiry. Field teachers can help with programs at one or both sites in Norfolk and Bristol County.

Application Instructions

Please submit a resume with your ADP application. Providing a cover letter is always helpful.

  • Assist in setting up before and cleaning up after programs
  • Travel to various sites throughout Norfolk and Bristol Counties to facilitate programming
