With more than 160,000 members and supporters, Mass Audubon protects over 41,000 acres of land throughout Massachusetts, saving birds and other wildlife, and making nature accessible to all. We welcome you to explore a nearby sanctuary, find inspiration, and get involved.

About Mass Audubon

Mass Audubon is the largest nature-based conservation organization in New England. Founded in 1896 by two women who fought for the protection of birds, Mass Audubon carries on their legacy by focusing on the greatest challenges facing the environment today: the loss of biodiversity, inequitable access to nature, and climate change. With the help of our 160,000 members and supporters, we protect wildlife, conserve and restore resilient land, advocate for impactful environmental policies, offer nationally recognized education programs for adults and children, and provide endless opportunities to experience the outdoors at our wildlife sanctuaries. Explore, find inspiration, and take action at massaudubon.org.

About This Position

We are seeking enthusiastic field teachers to lead field trips and in-school programs at North River and Tidmarsh Wildlife Sanctuaries. Our field trip programs engage students from kindergarten through high school in hands-on hikes, nature exploration, and discovery at our sanctuaries. Our in-school programs bring nature into the classroom through engaging educational kits and interactive, hands-on activities. All our programs align with state and national science standards while encouraging students to explore, collaborate, ask questions, and develop a deeper connection with the natural world. Field Teachers will support programs at both sanctuary sites throughout Plymouth County and play an important role in creating meaningful, memorable learning experiences for students.
