Trainer Train Driver, Waggon Examiner; Simulator

The role:

The Trainer Train Driver, Waggon Examiner; Simulator is responsible for designing, delivering, and assessing training programs for train drivers, wagon examiners, and other operational staff involved in train operations and safety-critical activities. This includes classroom instruction, on-the-job training, simulator-based exercises, assessments, and certification processes.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver training programs for train drivers, ensuring their proficiency in providing exceptional high speed rail services.
• Create training materials, including presentations, handouts, and job aids, to support the learning process.
• Conduct training sessions, both in classroom and on-the-job settings, to educate operational staff on safety procedures, customer service, emergency protocols, and company policies.
• Assess train drivers' performance through observations, simulations, and assessments, providing feedback and coaching for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure training content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with operational standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to incorporate into training programs.
• Support the development and implementation of operational systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of training tools, technologies, and resources to enhance the learning experience.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages employee engagement, motivation, and professional growth.
• Maintain training records, documentation, and reports to track attendance, progress, and training outcomes.

  Your profile/ qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Education, Hospitality, or Transportation.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in training and development and at least 5 years of experience as a train driver.
• Proven knowledge of compliance requirements related to train operations and regulations.
• Certification in adult training and development.
• License as train driver, light rail operator, or equivalent.
• Experience in developing, implementing, updating, and monitoring operational systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Good understanding of passenger railway business operations or equivalent industry knowledge.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and manage multiple projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels and in diverse intercultural environments.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic; proficient in MS Office and relevant IT systems.
