Job Summary

Schedule: 24 hours

Responsible for delivering orientation and training programs for all nursing staff and healthcare professionals. Identify areas for educational and professional development of current staff and implement appropriate learning experiences.

Essential Functions:

Plan, deliver, and evaluate educational sessions, workshops, and courses for nursing and other healthcare professionals.

Conduct clinical competency assessments to evaluate the knowledge, skills, and performance of nursing staff.

Coordinate preceptorship and mentorship programs for nurses and students, ensuring a supportive and effective learning experience.

Assess the learning needs of nursing staff and develop or recommend continuing education programs to enhance their professional growth.

Maintain accurate records of educational programs, attendance, and learner outcomes.

Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, including HRO rounds, to promote a culture of safety, and support the implementation of evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing required.

• Master's Degree Nursing preferred

• MA Registered Nurse License required

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification required

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Instructor preferred

• Basic Life Support Certificate required

• Clinical nursing experience 3 - 5 years required

• Clinical education experience 1-2 years preferred

• Nursing leadership experience 1-2 years preferred

• In-depth knowledge of clinical nursing care practices and principles.

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families.

• Leadership abilities to provide guidance, mentorship, and education to nursing staff.

• Epic EHR experience and strong computer/technology skills required.

• Ability to stay updated on the latest advancements in nursing skills and patient care through continuous learning and professional development.
