Materialise is a Belgian company founded in 1990 and headquartered in Leuven. It is a world leader in 3D printing software and produces medical implants, surgical guides and industrial parts. The company is listed on Nasdaq and its Magics software is an industry standard for additive manufacturing.

At Materialise Medical, we believe that better healthcare starts with solutions designed around the individual patient. If you’re passionate about bringing personalized care to every patient, you’ll love being a part of this team. Through the technology we develop, researchers, engineers, and clinicians are revolutionizing personalized treatment - helping improve and save lives daily.

This role is built around ownership, clinical expertise, and commercial impact. You will drive the adoption of our Soft Tissue portfolio across leading surgical centers. You are not just demoing software; you are partnering directly with thoracic, HPB, and urology surgeons to redefine how complex tumor resections are planned and executed.

Our Soft Tissue 3D planning and intraoperative solutions target high-stakes, minimally invasive surgeries. The clinical landscape is shifting fast with digital planning, advanced instrumentation, and robotics. You will shape tomorrow's clinical workflows, ensuring our solutions deliver the industry-leading quality bar that Materialise is built on.

What you’ll do

  • Own the surgeon relationship: Build and maintain high-impact partnerships with leading thoracic, HPB, and urology surgeons.
  • Drive clinical adoption: Deliver product training, workshops, and educational programs to surgeons and strategic partners.
  • Accelerate commercial growth: Partner with the sales team to support new product launches, unlock new accounts, and expand business.
  • Shape the product pipeline: Deeply understand the clinical and technical needs of surgical teams, turning those field insights into actionable requirements for our expanding Soft Tissue development pipeline.
  • Optimize the operational backbone: Translate direct user needs into immediate internal process updates to maintain our industry-leading solution standards.
  • Champion evidence-based clinical proof: Guide and support partner hospitals in data collection, evidence generation, and presence at medical congresses.
  • Track the market: Continuously monitor evolving surgical trends and turn competitive intelligence into concrete commercial opportunities.

How you’ll succeed

We look for people who act like owners, stay curious and deeply care about improving patient care.

You will succeed by giving clinical teams frictionless workflows they trust, land new product rollouts, and embed Materialise as an indispensable component of every complex surgical procedure.

What we’re looking for

  • Master’s degree required, preferably in Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Bioscience Engineering, Commercial Engineering, or a highly related technical field.
  • 3-8 years of experience in a customer-facing role as a technical or clinical expert in a healthcare/medical environment.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with a proven ability to persuade and align stakeholders.
  • An entrepreneurial, can-do mindset with the desire to show up everyday to solve real problems that improve patient lives.
  • Willingness to travel 10-20% of the time to partner hospitals and international conferences.

Strongly desired qualifications:

  • Proven experience or deep domain knowledge in thoracic or abdominal surgery.
  • Direct experience working within a commercial or sales-driven medical technology environment.
  • A strong, active professional network within relevant surgical communities.
