Job Description:

About MaxInsights

MaxInsights is a pioneer in embodied robotics data solutions. We provide end-to-end data infrastructure - from multimodal data collection and annotation to algorithm-ready dataset delivery - for leading robotics foundation model companies and embodied AI labs worldwide.

As robotics companies race to build increasingly capable general-purpose robots, high-quality real-world training data has become one of the industry's biggest bottlenecks. At MaxInsights, we're building the infrastructure and operational capabilities to help accelerate the next generation of embodied AI.

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Data Operations Site Lead to oversee daily onsite operations supporting our robotics data collection programs. You'll lead onsite teams, manage robotic equipment and data collection workflows, and ensure projects run efficiently while maintaining high standards for data quality, operational performance, and equipment reliability.

This role sits at the intersection of robotics, people management, and technical operations. You'll work closely with Data Operations, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to coordinate deployments, troubleshoot operational challenges, support equipment testing, and continuously improve onsite workflows as we scale.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, enjoys solving practical problems, and can balance hands-on execution with team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onsite Operations Management: Oversee daily robotics and data collection operations, ensuring workflows, staffing, equipment, and project deliverables run smoothly.

  • Team Leadership: Hire, train, manage, and develop onsite operations personnel. Establish clear responsibilities, manage daily schedules, and maintain accountability across the team.

  • Robotics & Equipment Management: Oversee the setup, deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of robotic systems, sensors, and data collection equipment.

  • Data Collection & Quality Assurance: Ensure data collection activities follow project specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Monitor data quality, completeness, consistency, and production targets.

  • Operational Performance: Develop and track operational KPIs, staffing plans, production metrics, and project milestones. Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase efficiency and throughput.

  • Testing & Deployment Support: Coordinate onsite testing, equipment upgrades, workflow validation, and new technology integration in collaboration with engineering teams.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for Data Operations, Engineering, and other internal stakeholders. Communicate progress, escalate issues, and ensure alignment between onsite execution and company objectives.

  • Process Development: Build and refine operational procedures, documentation, training materials, and workflows to support consistent execution as the organization scales.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in robotics operations, automation, technical operations, hardware deployment, manufacturing operations, or a related field.

  • Experience managing daily operations, including staffing plans, production metrics, resource allocation, and operational planning.

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience leading teams, including hiring, training, performance management, and daily workforce scheduling.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot operational and technical issues in hands-on environments.

  • Experience coordinating equipment deployment, maintenance, testing, or integration of technical systems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to take ownership of onsite operations and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with robotics systems, autonomous systems, or embodied AI technologies.

  • Experience supporting large-scale robotics data collection, sensor operations, or multimodal data acquisition.

  • Familiarity with robotic hardware, cameras, sensors, motion capture systems, or other data collection equipment.

  • Experience with robotics deployment, field operations, hardware integration, or technical service teams.

  • Experience working in a startup or rapidly scaling technology company.

  • Background in manufacturing, warehouse automation, e-commerce operations, or technical program management.

  • Experience establishing operational SOPs, quality control processes, and performance reporting systems.

Default Benefits:

  • Health insurance

  • Vision care

  • Dental coverage

  • 401(k)

  • Paid holidays

  • PTO (Paid Time Off)

  • Sick leave
