McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a full-time INTERN R&D - Analytical Science in Hunt Valley, MD. This is a 10-week internship (June 7, 2027 - August 13, 2027) which requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Pay Range: $20 - $22

Position Overview:
The Analytical Science Intern will support analytical development and testing activities through hands-on sample preparation, data acquisition, analysis, and technical reporting. The intern will work closely with internal analytical teams and cross-functional scientists and technologists to contribute to ongoing and projects, while developing practical laboratory and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with analytical development and testing, including sample preparation, data acquisition & analysis and written reporting.
- Conduct an independent research project in an area of agreed upon mutual interest - proposal, execution and written and oral presentation at conclusion of internship.
- Work directly with internal analytical teams providing hands-on assistance and project guidance.
- Collaborate with other analytical scientists and technologists to deliver ad hoc project results in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently, learn new tasks, solve problems, show strong self-motivation and initiative
- Present final report on work completed during the intern period.
- Assist in gathering relevant data from various sources.
- Manage his/her tasks and assignments efficiently to meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications:
- Enrollment as an undergraduate college Sophomore, Junior, Senior or graduate student in a relevant program for the 2026-2027 academic year
- Enrollment as an Analytical Sciences, Chemistry, Food Science, Organic Chemistry, or Natural Product Chemistry major for the 2026- 2027 academic year
- Grade point average overall minimum of 3.0/4.0 and 3.25 within major
- Working in chemistry lab
- Communication skills, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a structured and organized manner.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
