Under the supervision of the Executive Chef or the Chef, performs tasks related to the preparation of vegetables
Position Summary:
- Prepares all vegetables for cooking.
- Prepares all vegetables for salads.
- May assist in the preparation of some food items.
- Maintains cleanliness of vegetable preparation area, machines, etc. Keeps all work areas clean and tidy.
- Receives and checks deliveries of supplies and stores. Organizes the storage areas and refrigerators. Take delivery notices to the Administration office.
- May be requested to perform other general kitchen duties, as required.
- May be called upon to perform other tasks of a similar nature not specifically itemized above. The performance of such tasks will not affect the grading of the position.
Qualifications:
- High School Leaving Diploma.
- Three (3) months related experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to read and write English and French.
Knowledge of French and English. McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.
