Course Description: Legal research is undergoing its most significant transformation since the introduction of online legal databases. For generations, lawyers were trained to locate authorities, interpret legal texts, and construct arguments through manual research processes. Today, advanced technologies are changing how legal professionals discover information, analyze issues, generate insights, and deliver value to clients. This course examines how legal research is evolving and explores what it means to be a lawyer in an era where legal knowledge is increasingly accessible through technology. Students will critically assess the opportunities and limitations of advanced technologies, learn how modern legal workflows are changing, and explore the skills future lawyers will need to remain effective and indispensable. The course combines discussion, debates, simulations, hands-on exercises, and collaborative design activities.

TQR: At a minimum, a first degree in law. Several years of significant practice or professional experience, in the relevant area; Experience in teaching undergraduate law students in a bilingual setting.
