Senior Data Architect

We are partnering with a dynamic, high-growth tech hub based in Warsaw that powers innovative digital products for a US-based market leader. The Role

They are building a modern, next-generation data ecosystem entirely from scratch-zero legacy tech, zero technical debt. As the core Senior Data Architect, you will lead the charge in defining the technical vision, data mesh principles, and foundational infrastructure to power advanced analytics, automated decisioning, machine learning models, and conversational AI tools.

This is a high-visibility, hands-on technical leadership position where you will prototype solutions, set architectural standards, and guide a sharp team of senior data engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Strategy: Define and execute the end-to-end data platform strategy, supporting real-time analytics, ML pipelines, and AI-driven platforms.

• Hands-on Prototyping: Build and validate high-performance lakehouse environments (utilizing medallion architecture) directly in modern cloud setups.

• Data Governance & Mesh: Implement practical data governance, end-to-end observability, and cataloging tailored to a decentralized data mesh framework.

• Technical Ownership: Drive core infrastructure choices, champion engineering best practices, and collaborate closely with cross-functional product and engineering leaders.

What We Are Looking For

• 8+ years of hands-on experience designing and scaling complex, enterprise-grade data platforms.

• Strong Stack Familiarity: Hands-on mastery of modern data stacks-such as BigQuery, Snowflake, dbt, SQLMesh, Airflow, Dagster, or Fivetran.

• Rapid Prototyping & Technical Depth: Proven ability to quickly spin up cloud POCs and justify technical/architectural decisions in deep technical discussions.

• Communication: Full proficiency in both English and Polish (written and spoken).

• Schedule Flexibility: Comfortable with occasional late afternoon/early evening syncs to align with US-based product partners.

Bonus Points For

• Background in fintech, insurtech, or other highly regulated industries.

• Prior experience delivering ML production platforms, LLM tooling, or agentic AI workflows.

• Experience scaling engineering practices in mature, product-focused environments.
