Head Senior Engineer

• Job Title: Head of Engineering
• Location: Lagos, Nigeria

• Provide strategic leadership, direction, and supervision to the Engineering Department.
• Lead, mentor, motivate, and manage engineering teams in achieving departmental objectives.
• Oversee all engineering projects from planning and design through to execution and delivery.
• Review engineering designs, plans, and technical documentation to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance.
• Offer technical guidance and professional advice on complex engineering matters.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies, plans, processes, and performance targets.
• Manage departmental resources, including budgets, manpower, equipment, and operational needs.
• Monitor project timelines, costs, quality, and performance against established goals.
• Identify engineering-related risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulations, safety requirements, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with management and other departments to align engineering activities with business objectives.
• Make timely and informed technical, operational, and managerial decisions.
• Set performance standards and conduct regular assessments of team members.
• Promote continuous improvement, innovation, efficiency, and professional development within the department.
• Prepare and present engineering reports, recommendations, and performance updates to senior management.
• Maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
• Drive accountability and ensure departmental targets and deliverables are consistently met.

• Engineering project delivery within agreed timeframes.
