Location: Madrid, Spain (Remote - with regular in-person collaboration at a local WeWork alongside our Madrid tech team)

About the Role:

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to independently own complex, ambiguous problems across our platform. You'll design, build, and scale systems that power MediaRadar's competitive advertising intelligence platform - with a particular focus on developing agentic, AI-driven capabilities that deliver customizable insights to our clients.

Stack Highlights:

Core: Strong Python proficiency is a must; comfort with additional languages (C#, Java, Node.js) a plus.

Cloud: Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure is a must.

Data: SQL (SQL Server, Postgres), with Databricks/ETL experience a plus.

AI/Agentic: Experience with LLM-powered or agentic systems (LangChain, multi-agent orchestration, RAG) is highly valued.

Productivity: Use of modern AI coding assistants (Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate development.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Independent System Ownership: Design, build, and own complex, ambiguous features end-to-end, operating with minimal supervision.
• Agentic Insights Studio: Lead the buildout of agentic, LLM-powered workflows that deliver customizable, automated insights for end users.
• Cloud Architecture: Architect and scale cloud-native systems (AWS/Azure) that support our expansion from the US into European markets.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and raise the technical bar across the team through code reviews and shared best practices.
• Engineering Excellence: Drive testing, observability, code quality, and documentation standards across your area of ownership.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with Product, Data, and Operations to shape technical roadmap and integration strategy across the MediaRadar/Vivvix data platforms.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience Level: 4-6+ years of professional software engineering experience (Senior level).
• Python: Expert-level Python is required; comfortable owning production systems end-to-end.
• Cloud: Proven experience architecting and operating systems on AWS and/or Azure is required.
• Agentic/AI Experience: Hands-on experience building LLM-powered or agentic systems (LangChain, multi-agent orchestration, RAG) is very strongly preferred.
• Industry Relevance: Background in adtech, advertising, media intelligence, analytics, or sports-media data is highly valued.
• Global Scope: Comfortable working across distributed, international teams as we expand from the US into Europe.
• Software Rigor: Strong grasp of architecture and design patterns, with a track record of mentoring other engineers.
• Professional fluency in written and spoken English: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with distributed engineering, product, and business teams across North America, India, and Europe.

• Agentic Insights: Building and scaling AI-driven, customizable insight generation for our Insights Studio product line.
• Global Expansion: Ensuring platform scalability and reliability as MediaRadar expands from the US into European markets.
• Sports & Media Intelligence: Extending our data and attribution capabilities into sports-focused advertising and media verticals.
