Software Engineer

Location: Madrid, Spain (Remote - with regular in-person collaboration at a local WeWork alongside our Madrid tech team)

About the Role:

We're looking for a Software Engineer I to join our engineering team and grow into a well-rounded, full-stack contributor. In this role, you'll build and maintain features across our platform under the guidance of senior engineers, developing expertise in our core stack while contributing to real, high-impact work from day one.

This is a great fit for a developing engineer who wants to sharpen their craft on a modern, cloud-based platform, while gaining exposure to the advertising, media, and data-intelligence space.

Stack Highlights:

Core: Strong Python proficiency is a must; comfort with additional languages (C#, Java, Node.js) a plus.

Cloud: Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure is a must.

Data: SQL (SQL Server, Postgres), with Databricks/ETL experience a plus.

AI/Agentic: Experience with LLM-powered or agentic systems (LangChain, multi-agent orchestration, RAG) is highly valued.

Productivity: Use of modern AI coding assistants (Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate development.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Feature Development: Own moderately complex, well-scoped features end-to-end - from design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Full-Stack Contribution: Build across the stack (UI, business logic, database access, external interfaces) on our internal and client-facing applications.
• Cloud & Quality: Apply cloud-based deployment practices (AWS/Azure) and write clean, tested, well-documented code.
• Collaboration: Work with Product, Data, and other Engineering teams, escalating non-standard or higher-risk situations to senior engineers.
• Code Reviews: Participate actively in code reviews and apply feedback to raise the quality of your work.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience Level: Roughly 1-3 years of professional software engineering experience (Intermediate level).
• Python: Strong working proficiency in Python is required.
• Cloud: Some hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS or Azure) is required.
• Industry Relevance: Exposure to adtech, advertising, media, analytics, or competitive-intelligence platforms is a strong plus.
• SQL: Comfortable writing and troubleshooting SQL queries.
• Nice to Have: Familiarity with LLM/agentic frameworks (LangChain or similar), or exposure to sports-media data.
• Software Rigor: Solid testing habits, clean code practices, and a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset.
• Professional fluency in written and spoken English: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with distributed engineering, product, and business teams across North America, India, and Europe.

Skill Focus for 2026/2027:

• Agentic Insights: Building foundational skills in AI-driven, customizable insight generation for our Insights Studio product line.
• Global Expansion: Supporting platform work as MediaRadar expands its footprint from the US into Europe.
• Sports & Media Intelligence: Gaining exposure to our data and attribution work in sports-focused advertising and media.
