IT Programme Manager (Mining)

Our client based in Richards Bay is looking for a REMOTE working IT Programme Manager to join their team. You will visit the offices on your own costs 1 week of a month, rest is remote work. We are seeking an experienced IT Programme Manager to oversee and drive the delivery of large-scale IT programmes within the mining industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, budgets, timelines and operational requirements. This is a 12-month contract

• Lead and manage end-to-end IT programmes and multiple projects
• Develop programme strategies, plans, budgets and delivery timelines
• Manage project managers, technical teams and key stakeholders
• Oversee the implementation of IT systems, infrastructure and digital transformation initiatives
• Ensure effective programme governance, risk management and reporting
• Manage vendors, budgets, resources and project dependencies
• Ensure IT solutions support mining operations and business objectives
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure successful programme delivery

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Project Management or a related field
• 8–10+ years' experience in IT Project / Programme Management
• Proven experience managing large-scale IT programmes
• Experience within the mining, resources or heavy industrial sector is essential
• Strong knowledge of project governance, budgeting, risk and stakeholder management
• PMP, MSP or PRINCE2 certification advantageous
