Job Description:
Team Lead - Vendor Contracts Medline India is responsible to provide world class customer service to Medline's Customers and Sales Representatives across USA. Role involves leading team that owns and supports the vendor contracts maintenance, chargebacks and related activities. This individual must have a desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization and should be comfortable to work with fast changing environment. In addition to exceptional organizational and follow-up skills, you must have a “Can do” attitude, attention to detail and innovation acumen.
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication skills with ability to liaison with cross functional teams across different departments in US and India.
- Previous experience of working/managing Vendor Contracts, Rebates and Chargebacks in Healthcare, Surgical devices, and Pharma domain is a plus.
- Knowledge/Experience working with large dataset for reporting and using SQL or other RDBMS skills is a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP or AS400 will be plus.
- Ability to gather data, perform analysis, process improvement with strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Should be excellent with advanced Excel & should be highly driven and self-motivated individual.
- Should have sound knowledge of Excel, BI tool-based dashboards
- Experience in driving process improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, SOP standardization, and operational excellence programs Some of the responsibilities are:
- Team Leadership & Strategy: Plan operational workflows, mentor team members, and set performance metrics (KPIs and SLAs) to ensure high-speed and accurate resolution.
- Vendor Contract Management: Accurate and Timely loading of the rebate contracts into the ERP system. Lead audit initiatives and ensure all gaps are identified and closed effectively within the agreed timeline.
- Chargeback & Dispute Operations: Oversee the processing, investigating, and reconciling of chargeback files and customer purchase disputes to minimize financial loss.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, procurement, and sales teams to address root causes of vendor non-compliance and dispute trends within global business environments
- Performance Reporting: Generate regular tracking reports analyzing team performance health and gaps with senior management.
- Quality & Compliance: Establish and maintain operational controls to ensure contract accuracy, rebate compliance, chargeback validation, and audit readiness.
- Facilitate the identification of key performance indicators crucial to the team’s success and helps/assist manager to measure it during performance evaluation process.
- Manage and scrub performance data for effective feedback, improvements within the team. Identifying training and development needs for team members.
- Lead direct reports and act as the point of contact for communication from Medline India with all relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence of Medline core values within team members. Demonstrate readiness to consistently follow and drive team members on compliance, standards and processes.
- Identify automation opportunities and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Serving as the first level of management, accountable for the performance and outcomes of the team. Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities; deliver performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensuring the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.
- Effectively and constantly leverage SPT data to analyze, trend analysis, constant problem areas and opportunity, etc. by applying strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel
- Understand and deliver internal stakeholder requirements with result-oriented approach
- Be a support bridge to enhance individual skills for next roles and coach effectively to potential resources
- Available to be actively involved in organizational level initiatives, activities and lead by example for the team Work Experience:
- 6-8 years of total experience (2-3 years of relevant experience).
- Should have at least 2-3 years of experience working as a senior most individual contributor. Should have independently managed at least one medium-large critical project in last 300 days.
- 1-2 years of people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, workload allocation, and stakeholder communication, preferred.
