Senior Financial Analyst - SG&A FP&A
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Financial Analyst to support SG&A financial planning, reporting, and business partnering activities. This role will own monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management insights while partnering closely with global stakeholders to improve financial performance, identify cost optimization opportunities, and support data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and support SG&A costs monthly close activities, including accrual reviews, expense validations, cost center mapping, and financial reporting for the EUR region.
- Prepare and present monthly SG&A performance reports, dashboards, and executive-level commentary highlighting key trends, risks, opportunities, and expense drivers.
- Drive variance analysis against Budget, Forecast, Prior Year, and Actual results, providing forward-looking insights and recommendations to business partners.
- Partner with divisional heads and functional leaders to understand spending trends, challenge assumptions, influence decisions, and improve cost visibility.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, strengthening forecast accuracy, financial governance, and alignment with business objectives.
- Manage planning system data loads, validations, and reporting support during monthly close, forecast, and budget cycles.
- Deliver ad hoc financial analysis, business case evaluations, and management reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Leverage advanced Excel, reporting systems, and analytical tools to interpret large datasets and translate financial data into meaningful business insights.
- Drive process improvements, standardization, automation initiatives, and data quality enhancements to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain and continuously improve process documentation, controls, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Own finance projects and special initiatives, ensuring timely execution, effective stakeholder alignment, and measurable business impact.
- Collaborate effectively with onshore FP&A teams and cross-functional stakeholders to support business performance and strategic priorities.
Required Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, SG&A Finance, business partnering, or management reporting roles.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, XLOOKUP, and VLOOKUP.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Strong communication, business partnering, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exposure to process improvement, automation, and reporting transformation initiatives is highly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a global finance environment.
- Experience with Oracle ERP, MicroStrategy, QAD, or similar reporting systems.
Educational Qualification
- CA or MBA Finance from Tier 1/2 college
- 3+ years of relevant experience in SG&A expense management, financial reporting, and business partnering required.
