A Day in the Life
This role serves as the regional growth engine for Enabling Technologies & Robotics, ensuring Medtronic fully captures the commercial opportunity presented by navigation, imaging, robotics and digital platforms across the Nordics, Greece and Israel. Through strategic account development, university hospital engagement, AXiS platform adoption and large capital business acceleration, the position plays a critical role in driving market leadership and sustainable profitable growth for the CST business.The Regional Business Development Lead, Enabling Technologies & Robotics is responsible for accelerating growth across the NoGI region by driving strategic account initiatives, expanding adoption of Medtronic's enabling technology ecosystem, and developing sustainable growth opportunities within key customers and leading academic institutions. Reporting directly to the Regional Business Director, this role acts as the regional commercial leader for navigation, imaging, robotics and digital technologies, partnering with country leadership teams to develop and execute growth strategies that increase market penetration, strengthen customer partnerships and improve competitive positioning. A key priority of the role is to lead the successful launch and expansion of Medtronic's AXiS platform, establish strategic partnerships with university hospitals and Centres of Excellence, and accelerate large capital opportunities across the region. The role combines business development, commercial strategy, market development, strategic account leadership and sales enablement to maximize growth and reinforce Medtronic's leadership position in Cranial & Spinal Technologies.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Develop and execute regional growth strategies for enabling technologies and robotics across NoGI, identifying and advancing priority opportunities in key and Focus Growth Accounts.
- Partner with country leaders and commercial teams to build account development plans and drive customer adoption, utilization, and long-term commitment.
- Lead AXiS platform launch planning and regional adoption, including reference centre development, early adopter sites, and implementation support.
- Drive large capital business development across navigation, imaging, robotics, and related technologies, including pipeline management, complex deal support, and value proposition development.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with university hospitals, academic institutions, Centres of Excellence, key opinion leaders, and clinical champions to support collaboration and market development.
- Analyze market and competitive trends, support market access and reimbursement initiatives, and equip commercial teams with the tools, training, and best practices needed for strong execution.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree or equivalent; in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred.
- Significant experience in medical technology, healthcare, or a related industry.
- Proven success in business development, strategic account management, commercial leadership, or senior sales roles.
- Strong understanding of capital equipment sales, complex healthcare purchasing processes, and product launch or market development activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple countries and cultures in a matrix organization while influencing senior stakeholders internally and externally.
- Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, customer focus, and ability to lead with accountability, collaboration, and adaptability in complex environments.
