We arelooking for:SurgeryVeterinary Technician

Our Surgery team is a fast-paced environment, perfect for technicians that are looking for training in multiple facetsof the department and interaction with the other teams in the hospital. This team requires strong communicationskills to liaison between surgeons and clients and deliverpost-operative care instructions.

What you’ll do:

• Manage appointments,obtain patient histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc

• Fill medications, enter charges and maintainaccuratemedical records, schedule appointments

• Create patient releases, navigate client conversations around treatment plans and financial obligations

• Prep patientsfor surgery, including shaving, scrubbingand positioning, assistwith intubation and radiographs

• Proficiently perform blood drawsand submitbloodwork

• Ensure documentation is accurateand complete

• Opening, turning over and cleaning operating rooms, as well as cleaning instruments and wrapping packs

Who are you:

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferred

• Prior veterinary experience required, previoussurgeryexperience desired

• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)

• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additionalhours when necessary

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
