Your Role
Reporting to the Global Payroll Manager, the Junior Payroll Coordinator will assist the team with the end-to-end payroll process.
The Junior Payroll Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the global payroll department's daily operations. Liaising with our external payroll providers and with the payroll team, this position ensures accurate, compliant, and timely wage processing for all employees. Working under the direct guidance of the Global Payroll Manager, this early career role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals looking to build a career in finance, payroll, or human resources administration.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collate payroll changes on a monthly and fortnightly basis (i.e. contract variations, leavers, absence, commission, etc.) and assist in providing payroll data to the external payroll providers.
- Onboarding - review new starter paperwork, update payroll systems with the relevant information, and manage emails to new joiners where required.
- Assist with reviewing final reports and month-end close activities.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for routine employee payroll inquiries (e.g., paystub questions, direct deposit changes, PTO balances).
- Perform routine administrative tasks including updating payroll documentation templates and duplicating monthly trackers.
- Reporting & Auditing: Perform basic payroll reconciliations and assist in generating standard monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports.
- Interpret and understand awards, agreements, and individual contracts for all markets.
- Prepare and reconcile superannuation, including 401(k) plans, UK pension and retirement funds.
- Assist the team with internal and external payroll queries and address queries from the regional accountant.
- Manage employee leave queries, ensuring compliance with relevant leave policies.
- Any other ad hoc activities as required.
