We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician - Diesel Generators to support the maintenance and troubleshooting of diesel generator systems. The role requires hands-on experience with leading generator brands and strong technical knowledge of generator electrical components, control panels, controllers, and associated wiring systems.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in diesel generator maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience working with diesel generator brands such as Cummins, Caterpillar, SDMO, Perkins, and other leading manufacturers.
- Experience working with:
- Alternators
- ATS/AMF panels
- Generator controllers
- Battery chargers
- Electrical wiring
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- ITI or Diploma in Electrical.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of DSE, ComAp, PowerCommand, or SmartGen controllers.
- Previous experience working in the GCC.
- Valid driving license.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of diesel generator systems.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults affecting generator operation.
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot alternators, ATS/AMF panels, controllers, battery chargers, and electrical wiring.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities on generators from Cummins, Caterpillar, SDMO, Perkins, and other manufacturers.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams during maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
- Work with generator control systems and controllers, including DSE, ComAp, PowerCommand, and SmartGen, where applicable.
- Support the reliable operation of diesel generator electrical systems through appropriate maintenance and fault diagnosis.
