Job Title: Update - Engineering Internship Biotech
Position Summary
The Engineering Centre of Excellence (CoE) is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Intern to support site engineering initiatives focused on reliability, asset management, maintenance excellence, operational performance, sustainability, and continuous improvement. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams while contributing to real-world projects that impact site performance, safety, and compliance.
The successful candidate will work alongside a diverse and inclusive, multi-skilled team of highly motivated experienced engineers and subject matter experts to analyze data, support technical projects, solve engineering challenges, and develop practical solutions that improve operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Support site engineering projects across mechanical, electrical, automation, process, reliability, facilities, and operations disciplines.
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing engineering and maintenance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support data-driven decision making.
- Participate in troubleshooting activities, root cause investigations, and problem-solving workshops.
- Assist with engineering documentation, technical reports, procedures, and asset information management.
- Participate in equipment reliability and asset performance reviews.
- Contribute to engineering studies, equipment assessments, and process optimization activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, and Validation.
- Present project findings and recommendations to engineering stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in one of the following disciplines:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Process Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Automation Engineering
- Energy Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering
- Or a related Engineering discipline
- Strong academic performance with a demonstrated interest in engineering and technology.
Preferred
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Python, R, MATLAB, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with engineering, manufacturing, or maintenance environments.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Reliability Engineering, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Skills & Attributes

- Competency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to learn new engineering systems, software, and technologies quickly
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
