Manufacturing Science & Technology Engineering Graduate Dunboyne

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the tech transfer and manufacturing at Dunboyne. Acting as a subject matter expert in the area of biologics manufacture, the successful candidate will work closely with teams in manufacturing, testing and quality to deliver innovative solutions that create value for our patients.
A high level of innovation, enthusiasm and drive will be required to deliver technical excellence in support of ongoing activities at the site
THE ROLE
The role will be based at the Dunboyne site. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
PRIMARY ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:
- Providing technical leadership for new product introduction, in support of clinical and commercial campaigns
- Direct input to the technology transfer team/sub-team, and execution of supporting activities in the operations suites
- Development of strategies for technical studies, and the execution of process and cleaning validation programs.
- Acting as process Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the support of process investigations.
- Identification of innovation opportunities, support process optimisation projects including yield improvement and/or cycle time optimisation
- Use of risk management techniques to identify risks and develop mitigation actions
- Lead technical studies/ projects on site and play a key role in the coaching and development of the MS&T and Manufacturing teams.
- Maintain continuous focus on quality and safety compliance, in addition to operational excellence in the implementation of improvements & solutions
- Responsible for the use of process engineering systems and approaches for equipment design, specification and performance, generation of technical reports, process modelling, risk management and integration of process equipment systems.
THE CANDIDATE
This role requires an individual with a minimum of 2:1 BSc / BEng preferably with some directly-related experience in academia, pharmaceutical or biotechnology company - with a working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices.
A self-starter and results-focussed, the successful candidate will have strong contemporary knowledge, and the ability to work independently and on multidisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will also have demonstrated the ability to deliver what is needed on-time, holding self and team accountable for commitments, decisions, actions and behaviours.
The Engineering Graduate will also have excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate understanding of process science, in order to drive decision making, impact assessments, design of studies, etc., in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
