Role Overview

The Campaign Operations Specialist is the operational partner to the Country Coordinators from METRO Markets - METRO’s online marketplace. The role is responsible for coordinating and executing the day-to-day operational activities required to successfully deliver marketing campaigns.

Working closely with Country Coordinators and cross-functional teams, the role ensures campaigns are delivered efficiently, on time, and in accordance with agreed quality standards. By owning operational campaign execution, the role enables Country Coordinators to focus on commercial planning, market engagement, and campaign strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Operational

• Coordinate end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns across multiple countries, ensuring timely delivery.
• Manage campaign workflows using Jira (or equivalent), including ticket creation, task allocation, status tracking, and closure.
• Maintain campaign schedules, trackers, and operational documentation.
• Coordinate the preparation and publication of campaign assets including homepage banners, landing pages, newsletters, and other digital marketing materials.
• Support Storyblok (or equivalent CMS) updates, including page creation, content updates, and publishing.
• Coordinate campaign inputs from Country Coordinators, Vendor Management, Design, Content, CRM, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare campaign briefs and ensure all required assets, product information, and approvals are available prior to campaign launch.
• Track campaign milestones, identify delivery risks, and proactively coordinate issue resolution.
• Perform operational quality checks prior to campaign publication.
• Maintain campaign documentation, knowledge repositories, and operational playbooks.

Collaboration

• Partner with Country Coordinators to support campaign execution while enabling them to focus on commercial planning and market strategy.
• Work closely with Content Operations, Creative Operations, CRM Operations, Vendor Management, Commercial teams, and Vendor Managers to ensure seamless campaign delivery.
• Facilitate alignment meetings, follow-up actions, and stakeholder communications throughout the campaign lifecycle.
• Support knowledge transfer and onboarding activities for new markets and campaign processes.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree is preferred.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Campaign Operations, Marketing Operations, Project Coordination, Digital Marketing, or a related function.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional marketing projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Experience within retail, wholesale, or FMCG environments is preferred.

Skills

• Strong understanding of campaign operations, digital marketing workflows, and campaign delivery processes.
• Experience coordinating multiple campaigns across cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management platforms.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms such as Storyblok and digital marketing ecosystems.
• Strong MS Excel skills, including formulas and Pivot Tables.
• Power BI knowledge is an advantage.
• Excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple concurrent activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
• Professional fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of digital marketing channels including websites, newsletters, and landing pages.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience working in wholesale, retail, eCommerce, or FMCG marketing environments.
• Exposure to marketing automation platforms.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to monitor operational KPIs.
