Linux System Engineer (DevOps)

What you will do

• Maintenance, operation, and continuous development of our Linux-based server landscapes (Enterprise Linux distributions such as SLES and Alma Linux).

• Administration, configuration, and operation of our Centreon monitoring environment, including related components (MariaDB, Pollers, Nagios/Centreon Plugins, Centreon Engine, Reporting).

• Design, implementation, and maintenance of configuration management and deployment pipelines (e.g., using Ansible, SaltStack).

• Onboarding new systems, developing custom check scripts (Python, Bash), and integrating APM, log, and performance metrics.

• Analyzing system faults, identifying performance bottlenecks, and implementing optimization and hardening measures.

• Creating system documentation, operational concepts, and contributing to continuous process improvement.

What will you bring

• +3 years of experience in the Infrastructure field.

• Deep knowledge of the Linux environment (networking stack, storage, LVM, user management, systemd, troubleshooting).

• Proven experience operating Centreon and a solid understanding of its architecture (distributed pollers, Centreon Engine, MariaDB, plugins, and scripting).

• Strong hands-on experience with configuration management tools (preferably Terraform, Ansible and SuseManager incl. SaltStack) and automation solutions.

• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and fundamental networking knowledge (SNMP, Syslog).

• Degree in Computer Science, vocational training as an IT Systems Integration Specialist.

• Fluent English (written and spoken).
