THE ROLE

TheClient Strategy Teamconductsresearch,developsMFS'sviewsanddeliversin depth analysis,insight,thoughtleadershipand consultingona wide array of topics including capital markets, retirement andsustainable investing.The team is also responsible for developing and delivering on the strategic plan to ensure that MFS is adopting and promoting best practicesin our marketplace.The work may be related to any/all clientsegments andengageswith teamsbothexternally and internallywithin MFS.

The Lead Strategist will partnerandcollaboratewith key stakeholderstohelp formulateMFS’s strategic prioritiesaroundsustainable investingand willberesponsible for theexecution of some of theseinitiatives. In addition, theLeadStrategistwillplay aleadershiprole in developing and executing on MFS' sustainabilitycontentstrategy andresearch agenda.TheLeadStrategistis alsoexpected torepresent sustainability subject matter expertise in due diligence,sales meetings withkeyclients,professional buyersandhigh-profile events. TheLead Strategist willcommunicateMFS’sviews and approach to incorporating sustainability in the investment process.

The Lead Strategist will draw upon resources from Client Strategy, investments, legal, distribution and other groups to helpexecute oninitiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Work closely with both client-facing and investment teamsto formulate and represent MFS' views on sustainability and how we incorporate sustainability considerations into our investment process. This includes identifying and developing perspectivesonsustainability relatedinvestment topics that MFS's relationship management teams can bring to clients toadd value andbuild strategic partnerships.

• Actin partnership withother business leadersto leadstrategic projects pertaining to sustainable investing.

• Take responsibility fordevelopment anddelivery of thesustainability strategy.

• Lead the development of MFS house views,providedirectionto other members of the team responsible forcreatingpresentations to support the investment teams in the relevant area of expertise.

• Represent MFS at high-profile client meetings and events.

• Provide leadership and guidance for other team members responsible forstrategic projects and thought leadership.

• Demonstrateadeepunderstandingofallrelevantissuesrelated toclientinvestmentdecisionsincluding governance,investmentpolicy and implementation issues.

• Performadditionaldutiesasrequested.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’sdegreerequired;CFA,MBAorother Masters'degreestrongly preferred.

• Extensiveexperienceina relevant field.

• Demonstrationofexpertiseofcurrent sustainability topics, trends and best practices isrequired.Ability to show vision and strategic clarity is required.

• Demonstrateexcellentstrategicthinking andchange managementskills,withtheabilitytobe highly adaptable in response to a dynamic field.

• Ability to build strong relationships,inspire trust, and exert influencewith key stakeholderson sustainability strategy issues.

• Demonstrateadeep understandingofquantitativetoolsand techniques,and comfortlevelwith technicalsubjectmatterrelatedtoallassetclassesand globalcapitalmarkets.

• Experiencewiththe followingpreferred:Factset,Bloomberg,Morningstar, MSCI.

• Excellentpresentation experience, with the abilityto deliverhigh-qualityclient engagements, is required.

• Abilitytoprovide inclusive leadership withinateamcomprisedofhighlyqualifiedandtechnically orientedexperts.
